Drdo starts integration of NAG Mk2 on Next Gen MBTs for Army

Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has commenced work on the development of NAG Mk2 anti tank guided missile ATGM to be integrated into Main Battle Tanks in a Twin launcher configuration with each launcher holding one missile.

NAG Mk2 is an improved lightweight ATGM with performance improvement and a minor range bump. NAG Mk2 likely will also adopt some of the technologies from the Helina program, Helicopter borne ATGM like the new jet vane control system into it.

NAG Mk1, is a 3rd generation ATGM, that was in the process of being inducted after extensive tests in 2019. Army variant HELINA and Air Force version Dhruvastra also have successfully demonstrated their capabilities in a series of multi mission user trials in 2021 from HAL developed Rudra WSI Helicopter and is ready for induction into the Indian Armed Forces.
