BEML developed Tetra Armoured driver cabin for MGS

New Armoured driver cabin for Mountain Artillery Gun System designed by Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML) and Vehicle Research & Development Establishment (VRDE) was spotted in the Bharat Forge site. BEML & VRDE are utilising Tetra 8×8 terrain vehicles as a platform for mounting a 155mm by 52 calibre gun system (MGS) that was created by Kalyani.

In order to increase India’s mountain artillery strength in the near future, Kalyani Group created the 155 mm/39 calibre TC-20 indigenous truck-mounted mountain artillery gun last year. It is made entirely of steel and is mounted on the truck.

In order to have superior mobility in mountainous terrains, Kalyani Group has already built an upgunned Mountain Artillery Gun with 52 calibres, and this version of the gun will eventually be installed on the newly constructed Tatra 8×8 terrain vehicle shown for Army trial purposes.
