BEL Signs 250 Crore Contract for Supply of IAC MOD ‘C’ Torpedoes & Rockets

PSU Navratna Defense A contract worth roughly Rs 250 crores was signed by Bharat Electronics Limited and the Government of India’s Ministry of Defence for the provision of nine IAC Complex Mode C Systems such as Torpedoes and rockets. The Indian Navy’s surface ships are all equipped with the integrated anti-submarine warfare system known as IAC Mode “C.”

Torpedoes and rockets that are used as anti-submarine weapons can be fired more easily thanks to IAC Mode “C.” The fire control system can be tailored to fit the needs of any target platform, including small ships and large ships in various configurations.

The system also enables the ability to launch decoys as a countermeasure against approaching torpedoes. According to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s goal of a “Atmanirbhar Bharat,” a self-sufficient country, IAC Mode C has been developed domestically by BEL in collaboration with DRDO.
